Virginia Tech Awards

The Nominee Information requires the intended nominee's name, title, department, senior management area, start year, department head, and supervisor. The “Nominee Lookup” is a tool you will be able to use to aid in your completion of these fields. Upon entering a nominee’s name and selecting the intended candidate, the fields below will automatically populate with information currently available for that person. If you find any of the auto populated information is incorrect, you may override the input in the field. You will also be asked to provide the name of the endorser - this is the person who will provide the letter of endorsement on behalf of this nominee.

Each award requires the nominator to provide a reason for nomination. Depending on the award, this may be requested a letter format or in a series of short response questions. Details provided in this section include the period of time during which the contributions occurred, how the employee’s work or actions brought positive attention to the university, how the employee’s work may have impacted the functioning or infrastructure of the university, the extent to which the employee has used an inventive, creative, or problem-solving approach to his/her responsibilities, or how the employee’s performance has enhanced the work of others. Each award nomination form will provide examples of these responses.
