Policies and Procedures
Virginia Tech policies are owned and managed by several different areas of the university. In addition, Virginia Tech follows and enforces the policies governed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Departments may also have their own Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), many of which include guidelines or standards for department-specific issues. Employees should contact their supervisor for additional information related to departmental procedures.
Employee Relations provides guidance on all employment policies and advises on workplace issues to ensure a fair and consistent treatment for all employees. Please contact the office for a consultation on any of the following policies.
