Employee Appreciation and Hokie Wellness Fair

Faculty, staff, and non-student wage employees, local to the Blacksburg campus and surrounding region are invited to attend the Employee Appreciation and Hokie Wellness Fair on Wednesday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Lane Stadium.

Note: This is an employee-only event; family members will not be able to attend.

One big event, this year will include:

The Hokie Wellness Fair, co-sponsored by Grant Irby with University and Main Real Estate Group, Truist Bank, and Warm Hearth Village, to host more than 60 benefits, health, wellness, and other exhibitors
Music by DJ Flex
On-site health screenings
15-minute massages
Fun games to include cornhole, jenga, checkers, and more
VT Therapy Dogs, Josie, Epcot and Derek, will be on hand for lots of petting
Vaccinations given by Blacksburg Pharmacy to include Covid-19, RSV, pneumococcal/pneumonia, shingles, tetanus/whooping cough, and Hepatitis A and B. Registration is not required - walk-ups welcome.
A food drive, sponsored by Hokie Wellness, will be set up for The Market at Virginia Tech to help students with food insecurity. Visit the website for a list of needs.
The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute’s (VTTI) Sharing the Road with Trucks program will provide in the driver’s seat participation to witness the unique challenges truck drivers face and learn more about how to drive in harmony with trucks in the process.

Those wishing to experience the Sharing the Road with Trucks program and/or a 15-minute massage will be selected by lottery due to limited space. Please complete this form by Friday, May 1 to register for a chance for one or both of these activities. Winners will be notified at least three days before the event.

If you are interested in volunteering at the fair, please complete this form no later than Thursday, April 30.

A complimentary lunch for Employee Appreciation and Hokie Wellness Fair attendees will be available in the East and West concourses and South end zone and will include:

Various concession options like pizza, hot dogs, chicken tenders, tacos, and quesadillas.
A gluten-free station will be located in the South end zone.
Last but not least, ice cream and popcorn!
