As part of Human Resources’ goal to make Virginia Tech a destination for talent, the Talent Acquisition team is driven to find the best and brightest talent for the university. Our team does this in a number of ways including providing integrated solutions to attract, onboard, and retain high-performing employees; ensuring consistency and efficiency across the university’s recruitment processes; and guiding employees from application to hire and throughout their careers at Virginia Tech.
In the past year, Talent Acquisition has supported the recruitment of approximately 170 positions, achieving an 82 percent fill rate with 43 percent of all interviewed candidates being sourced directly by our team.

With a strong focus on holistic outreach, the team works to provide sustainable talent strategies, recruit top candidates at all levels of the university, and retain employees at the university.
