Retirement Planning
It is never too early or too late to start planning for retirement. Virginia Tech is committed to making sure employees are well prepared for retirement.
Information sessions
Human Resources regularly hosts information sessions to help employees plan for retirement. These sessions provide information on the Virginia Retirement System (VRS) and Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) benefits. Topics include retirement options, calculating monthly benefits, increasing retirement income, life insurance, health insurance and other benefits and resources. All ages are welcome; however, this session will be especially helpful for employees who are thinking about retirement within the next six years.
To find out when the next seminars are scheduled, navigate to training.vt.edu, select PageUp LMS and search for retirement. Select the session you want to attend and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your enrollment.
