No, the Division of Human Resources is unable to handle donations as employees must donate directly to their charity of choice. Any donations received by the Division of Human Resources will be returned to sender.
Will there be reports about how much each college or organization has raised?
No, since employees will give directly to their charity of choice, the Division of Human Resources will not be able to track or report on funds raised. Departments are welcome to set and track internal goals within their area(s).
Can I make a gift to Virginia Tech funds?

Is payroll deduction available for Virginia Tech funds?

Is payroll deduction available for charities outside of Virginia Tech?
No, employees cannot give through payroll deduction. Many nonprofit organizations have a reoccurring donation option allowing you to set up a donation plan, if you want to give throughout the year to your charity of choice.
Can we host special fundraisers such as a bake sale or cookoff?
Absolutely! We encourage departments to host fundraisers and support organizations of their choice. All funds raised should go directly to your selected charity - Virginia Tech will not collect or handle donations.
