Mental health is one of the most important factors in our overall sense of well-being. Following are resources avaialble to employees who need assistance or someone to talk to.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
As part of Virginia Tech’s health care benefit plan, employees and family members who are covered by the university’s health insurance have access to Employee Assistance Plan providers. The first four visits are free. A copayment based on your health care plan will be charged for additional appointments.
TimelyCare
TimelyCare is a virtual health service available to full-time faculty and staff and non-student wage employees at no cost. Employees have access TimelyCare services regardless of their health insurance status or location in the United States. Hokie Wellness Mental Health
Hokie Wellness serves Virginia Tech to foster a healthier community by providing prevention services, education, outreach, and resources to employees and students. They provide access to a variety of mental health resources targeted at the specific needs of employees.
Additional ways to get help
Employees can also contact Employee Relations for support with work-related stress affecting your job. Additionally, Hokie Wellness can help employees and their families with counseling referrals.
